Privacy Policy

SNAG (“we”, “us”) provides a job-tracking and maintenance-scheduling tool for trade and facilities businesses, available at snagapp.com.au and as an iOS and Android app. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how to control it.

What we collect

• Account data — name and email address, for admins and co-admins who sign up.
• Business data — staff names, job details, schedules, and any materials, parts, consumables, or photo evidence logged against a job by a business’s own staff.
• Field-tech sessions — a staff member accesses their job list with a short numeric PIN set by their admin, not a personal login.
• Location — with a field tech’s permission, we record GPS coordinates when a job is started and completed, so admins can see job locations on the live map. This is best-effort and not required for the app to function.
• Enquiries — if you submit the “get in touch” form on our website, we collect the name, business name, email, phone number, and message you provide.

We do not collect this data for advertising purposes, and we never sell it.

How we use it

Solely to operate the product: authenticating admins, running the job board and live board, generating exports, sending transactional email (password resets, invites), and responding to enquiries. We do not use business or job data for any other purpose.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of infrastructure providers to run SNAG, each acting as a data processor under contract, not an independent owner of your data:

• Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage.
• Vercel — application hosting.
• Resend — sending transactional emails (password resets, admin invites).

We do not share your data with advertisers or data brokers.

Data retention

Business data is retained for as long as the account is active. If you close your account, email us and we’ll delete your business’s data within 30 days, except where we’re required to keep records for longer by law.

Your rights

You can access, correct, or export your data at any time by emailing admin@snagapp.com.au. Admins can also edit or remove staff and job records directly from the app. To delete your account and its data, see Delete your account.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest. Access to a business’s jobs, staff, and evidence is scoped to that business’s own admins and staff via row-level database policies — no business can see another’s data.

Children

SNAG is a business tool and is not directed at, or knowingly used by, children.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we’ll update the date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, notify account admins by email.
